Using this website

When you visit cricplatz.com, our hosting and security providers may process technical connection data, such as your IP address, browser and request information, to deliver and protect the site. This is necessary for the website to work safely.

This website does not use advertising cookies, marketing pixels or visitor analytics. It stores one small preference in your browser only to remember whether you dismissed the privacy notice. You can remove it at any time by clearing CricPlatz site data in your browser.

Website contact form

The contact form prepares a message in your own email app addressed to hello@cricplatz.com. The form contents are not submitted to or stored by this website. Once you send the email, we process the information in it to answer your request.

What we process

• Account information, such as your name, email address, profile image and role.
• The birth year entered during registration long enough to derive an age band, plus a temporary, coarse network-region estimate used only for security verification. The birth year, network address, country, nationality and intermediate region are not retained for this check; only the minimum age band and feature-access result are kept.
• Cricket information you or an authorised organiser add, including team, player, match, ball-by-ball, tournament and ranking data.
• Content supplied or generated for stories and match presentation, including profile images, team logos and captions.
• Optional broadcast information, including stream title, visibility, player names, score graphics, commentary, audio, video, highlights and replay references.
• Optional permissions: device location for nearby matches, and camera or microphone access only when you activate a feature that requires it.
• Technical information needed to operate, troubleshoot and protect the service, such as authentication, security, device and app details (device model, operating system and app version), crash and error diagnostic logs (kept only for a short period) and delivery records.

Why we use it

We process data to provide the account and cricket services you request; apply team and organiser permissions; publish the match, score and profile visibility you select; send necessary service notifications; prevent abuse; and maintain security.

Our legal bases are performance of a contract or steps requested by you, legitimate interests in secure and reliable operation, compliance with legal obligations, and—where required—your consent for optional device permissions.

Optional intelligent features

When you request an optional intelligent feature, the service may send the request, recent conversation, relevant match facts, player and team names, selected language and the minimum technical context needed to create the result to a contracted processing provider. Live commentary may also be converted into audio. Raw match video and microphone audio are not sent for commentary generation unless a feature clearly asks for them and you activate it.

Generated text and audio are retained only as needed for delivery, continuity, safety and troubleshooting. Private profile photographs, private messages and private broadcasts are not used to train a general-purpose model without explicit permission. CricPlatz does not currently enable a separate use of private account content for general-purpose model training. If such an optional use is offered later, it will require a separate choice that can be withdrawn. Automated commentary and insights can be incomplete or inaccurate and do not replace the official score or an organiser’s decision. Material moderation, suspension and sporting-integrity decisions are not made solely from generated output and can be reviewed by a person on request.

Cookies, analytics and communications

The app and website use strictly necessary local storage and similar technologies for sign-in, security and saved preferences. CricPlatz does not currently use advertising tracking or optional visitor analytics. If non-essential tracking is introduced, it will be used only with any consent required by law and accompanied by a way to withdraw that consent.

Account verification, security alerts, match assignments and requested service messages are not marketing. CricPlatz does not currently send promotional email. If promotional email is introduced, it will require a separate opt-in and include a way to stop it.

Who receives it and international transfers

Authorised teammates, organisers, scorers and viewers can see information according to the selected privacy setting and role. We use specialist providers supporting account access, secure storage, hosting, communications, optional intelligent features, voice generation, diagnostics and connected broadcasting. We may also disclose information to authorities where legally required. We do not sell personal data.

Some providers may process personal data outside the European Economic Area. We permit such transfers only where the requirements of Chapter V GDPR are met, for example on the basis of an adequacy decision, approved contractual safeguards together with any required transfer assessment and supplementary measures, or another lawful transfer mechanism. Information about the safeguard applicable to a transfer is available on request.

Player, team and broadcast content

A club, scorer or broadcaster who provides player names, profile photographs, team logos, match video, audio or public stories must have an appropriate legal basis and any permissions required from the relevant people, club, rights holder and venue. Organisers are responsible for suitable safeguards and legally required parental or guardian permission where minors are involved.

Teams start private until a manager publishes them, and player visibility follows the team. Personal contact details, account identifiers, permissions and administration data are never public. Scheduled public matches show teams, date and venue; the Playing XI stays private until an authorised organiser publishes it, normally at the toss or match start. Tournament visibility is selected by its organiser and matches inherit it by default.

Retention and deletion

We keep personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purpose described in this notice, to protect the service, resolve a dispute or meet a legal obligation. Information is then deleted or anonymised.

When account deletion is confirmed, sign-in is disabled immediately and the profile is removed from active use. Other users see “Deleted user” instead of the former account identity. Personal and private account data is permanently deleted or anonymised as soon as practicable and no later than 30 days after confirmation; the account cannot be accessed during that period.

Historical match, tournament and score information may remain as an anonymised sporting record where it is necessary to preserve the integrity of scorecards and statistics. Recordings, highlights and replays held by a connected broadcasting service remain subject to that service’s controls and retention terms. Limited information may be retained for longer where required by law or necessary to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim.

Your GDPR rights and complaints

Subject to applicable conditions and exceptions, you may request access to and a copy of your personal data; correction of inaccurate or incomplete data; deletion; restriction of processing; objection to processing based on legitimate interests; and portability for information processed by automated means on the basis of consent or contract. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal.

Email hello@cricplatz.com to exercise a right. We may request information needed to verify identity and normally respond within one month. You may lodge a complaint with the Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde (Austrian Data Protection Authority) or another competent data protection supervisory authority, particularly in your country of residence, place of work, or place of the alleged infringement.

Children and age assurance

CricPlatz is not available to children under 13. Registration derives a coarse age band and may use a temporary EU/non-EU network estimate only for security verification. The birth year, network address, country, nationality and intermediate estimate are not retained for this check. Users aged 13–17 based in the EU cannot upload profile or player photographs. Outside the EU, users aged 13 or older may use photo features subject to applicable law and content permissions.

If CricPlatz learns that an under-13 account exists, or that youth content was added contrary to these rules, access and content may be removed. We may update this notice when the service or legal requirements change and will show the new date here.
